Annular BOPs, otherwise know as Annulars, Spherical BOPs or Hydrils, are a blowout preventor placed on top of traditional BOPs that can seal on variable pipe sizes. Annulars can also be used to provide a seal around control line, couplings, tool joints or downhole tools.
Some elements will swell when they come in contact with well fluids. This will reduce the I.D. of the element and may prevent running tools or packers through the Annular. We can also provide you with an element that is resistant to swelling.
All of our Annulars are studded on top to reduce the height as much as possible.
